Refund Policy
Effective date: July 22, 2026
1. The 14-day guarantee
Request a refund within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason.
There is no cap on how much of the course you have watched. We would rather you worked through the whole thing and decided honestly than felt watched while you made up your mind. If the course is not what you needed, you should not be paying for it.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to purchases made on learn.systemsthinker.ai. Where you bought determines who issues the refund, so start with the row that matches you.
| What you bought | Where you bought it | Who refunds you |
|---|---|---|
| Full course access | This website | Us, through Paddle.com Market Ltd. See section 5. |
| In-app purchase | Apple App Store or Google Play | Apple or Google. See section 6. |
| Free lessons and accounts | Anywhere | Nothing is charged. See section 7. |
3. Who you are buying from
The courses are produced and operated by Xata Technologies OPC. Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who acts as our merchant of record. That means Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase: they process the payment, handle any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, and issue your receipt.
In practice this matters in two ways. Your card statement and receipt will show Paddle rather than our company name, so a charge you do not recognise is most likely this. And a refund we approve is paid out through Paddle, which is why the timing below depends partly on them.
4. How to request a refund
Email refunds@systemsthinker.ai from the address you used to buy, or include that address in your message. Tell us your order number from the Paddle receipt if you have it to hand. If you do not, your email address is enough for us to find the purchase.
You do not need to explain yourself. If you want to tell us what did not work we will read it and it will shape the course, but it is not a condition of your refund and we will not ask you twice.
- We acknowledge every request within two business days.
- Approved refunds are submitted to Paddle within two business days of that acknowledgement.
- Paddle returns the money to your original payment method. How long it then takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, and is commonly five to ten business days.
- Refunds go back to the payment method you used. We cannot redirect one to a different card or account.
You can also request a refund directly through the Paddle receipt emailed to you at purchase. Either route reaches us.
5. Course purchases
Full course access is a one-time purchase, currently $149. It is not a subscription: nothing recurs and there is nothing to cancel.
The 14-day window runs from the moment your payment completes, not from when you start the course. When a refund is issued, access to the paid levels ends and your account reverts to the free level. Any artifacts, notes, or documents you produced during the course are yours, and we do not delete or reclaim them.
After 14 days we are not able to offer a refund as a matter of course. If something has genuinely gone wrong, for example you were charged twice, you cannot access what you paid for, or the course was materially not what this site described, write to us anyway. Those are our mistakes to fix and the window is not the point.
6. Mobile app purchases
If you bought through the Systems Thinker AI mobile app, Apple or Google is the seller for that transaction, and only they can refund it. We have no ability to issue or reverse a charge made through their stores, however much we would like to.
- Apple App Store: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, or through Settings on your device.
- Google Play: request a refund from your order history at play.google.com.
Tell us at refunds@systemsthinker.ai if a store refund is refused and you believe it should not have been. We cannot overturn their decision, but we can confirm what you were charged for and what you did or did not receive, which is often what an appeal needs.
7. Free content
Level 1, the lesson previews, and creating an account are free. Nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.
8. EEA and UK right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once delivery has begun, provided you consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged losing the right.
Because course access is granted the moment your payment completes, our checkout asks you to give that consent and acknowledgement before you pay. Strictly, that means your statutory withdrawal right ends when you open the course.
Our own 14-day guarantee in section 1 applies regardless. We give it to every buyer voluntarily, in every country, whether or not the statutory right still applies to you. In practice you are no worse off than if you had never waived anything.
9. Your other consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in, where those rights cannot be excluded by agreement. This includes the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394), the Australian Consumer Law, and equivalent protections elsewhere.
Where such a right gives you more than this policy does, the law wins. This policy is meant to be simpler and more generous than your statutory minimum, never a way of reducing it.
10. Fair use of this policy
The guarantee is written to be taken at face value, and almost everyone does. Two narrow situations are the exception.
- Repeated refunds. If someone buys and refunds the same course repeatedly, we may decline further purchases from that account. We will say so plainly rather than silently blocking anyone.
- Chargebacks raised without contacting us. A chargeback costs us a fee and takes months to resolve, when an email would have refunded you in days. Please write to us first. We have never refused an in-window request.
Sharing your account credentials, or redistributing course material, is handled under our terms and conditions rather than here.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we do, the version in force at the time of your purchase is the one that governs it. A later change can never reduce what you were promised when you paid.
